GOD’S REFRIGERATOR
Pastor, Speaker and Author, Max Lucado once wrote some words that have stuck with me:
“If God had a
refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your
photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every
spring, and a sunrise every morning.
Face it, friend – He’s
crazy about you!”
Sometimes
the enormity and absolute CRAZINESS of my faith stops me in my tracks.
Do
I REALLY believe that I have a relationship, a very deep, and personal
relationship, with God??!?!? The same
God that spoke the universe into existence, that created everything on Earth,
that ensures a new day, each day? Yep, I
do.
And
though some may think that is absolutely nuts, and though I will tell you
sometimes it even FEELS nuts – my relationship with God is as real, and more
important to me than any other relationship I have.
That
relationship has given me hope, peace, love, and joy. And while He is still working on me – to
smooth my edges, make me less judgmental, less critical, less quick to speak a
negative statement (and I KNOW He has a long way to go in ALL of that…), the
fact that He sees, knows, and loves me is something I do not question in the
least.
I
am His child, and if God has a refrigerator, I am certain my picture is on it!

watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.” - Psalm 33:18
