24 Hours

Twenty-four hours, the length of each day.  That’s 1,440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds.  Say you sleep for 7.  Now you’re down to just 17 hours, or 1,020 minutes, or 61,200 seconds.  How will you spend them?

They say you can discern what person values by how they spend their time.

So, what are some of the things that make it to your list?

  • Work/Money?
  • Family?
  • Meals?
  • Your Health/Fitness?
  • Relaxation/Enjoyment?

How about God?  Is He part of your day?

When God gave Moses the 10 commandments, one of them was, “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3) God meant it.  Yet, over and over the people of Israel put other things in their lives ahead of Him, and over and over again – that behavior caused His anger.

God loves nothing more than those who want to spend time with Him, and He loves it when we recognize His hand on our lives.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read the blog today – because it is one God has been asking me to write.  And, in writing it today, I feel like I am being prompted to say that we must remember that HE is the provider of all that we have:  our job, our finances, our family, our meals, our health, our fitness, and our ability to relax and enjoy.  And while I don’t want be presumptuous and speak for Him, I think He’d really like you to know – He loves spending time with you!
