Micah and Maleficent

After getting prompts for a few days to "read Micah", I decided to use the date as a starting point.  What I found was this:

"Your hand will be lifted up in triumph over your enemies, and all your foes will be destroyed. 'In that day,' declares the Lord, 'I will destroy your horses from among you and demolish your chariots.  I will destroy your cities and your land and all your strongholds.  I will destroy witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.  I will destroy your idols and your sacred stones from among you; you will no longer bow down to the work of your hands.  I will uproot from among you your Asherah poles when I demolish your cities.  I will take vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that have not obeyed me.'" - Micah 5:9-15 

Now a few days ago, Vladimir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un met to discuss "military matters".  In the meeting they gifted each other guns.  And now, a follow up meeting has been scheduled in North Korea.

In my mind, both of these men are crazy and dangerous - and this alliance is not a good thing for America.

However, what I know of these two leaders is only what I have heard on our news.  And judging from how we have been polarized as a nation by that very same news - sometimes I wonder.

In an October 2022 article in the publication, "The Times of Israel" they quoted Putin as leveling many pointed allegations against the U.S.  In a sweeping verbal attack he accused this country of their history of:

• Colonial gains
• Slavery
• The destruction of indigenous people and cultures

He also denounced the U.S. for carpet bombings during the Korean and Vietnam wars, and he noted that we are the only country that has ever used nuclear weapons.  He claimed that the U.S. and Britain sabotaged the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines, and he noted that in our current gender policies, we had given in to Satanic practices.

The movie Maleficent is one of my favorites as it shows a different side of this Disney "baddie" and let's us see that maybe, just maybe, the original story of Sleeping Beauty was incorrect - or at least simply ONE SIDED.

Believe me - I am not saying I think the actions that Putin or Kim Jong Un have taken are justified or good - what I'm saying is - when the prophesies of Micah come true, and God decides He's had enough of the "nations who have not obeyed" Him, we'd better be sure we're on the right side of that.
