Predictions 2 (Even COOLER!)

Yesterday we talked about some of the crazy stories of the Bible, and some of the prophesies that were made by writers of the Old Testament then later proved true by science.

However, the Bible contains NO CRAZIER story than the one that claims that a man named Jesus is the son of God, and that He was sent to Earth to pay the penalty for our sins. And then, after He suffered and died, He rose from the dead...

Wait - What?!?!

YEP, that in a nutshell...is the cornerstone of our faith.

And as we said yesterday, the prophetic verses of the Bible are there so that when they are later proved to be TRUE, God's declaration in Isaiah 46:9-10 "I am God and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done" might also be proved true.

So let's look at some of the Old Testament prophesies about Jesus, and where they were fulfilled:

Friends - either we can believe that all of these little predictions that later are recorded to have come true in the life of Jesus are interesting coincidences - OR we can recognize them for what they are - signs from God pointing us to Jesus as the Messiah.

And if we believe that latter one is true - then here's what's coming next:

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all his angels are with him, he ill sit on his glorious throne.  The people of every nation will be gathered in front of him.  He will separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on his right but the goats on his left.  Then the king will say to those on his right, 'Come, my Father has blessed you!  Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.'" - Matthew 25:31-34

Are you ready for it?
