When You're Out of Gas

I'm tired today.

And I don't have much conviction to write about ANYTHING.

Already I have two separate posts I've started based on ideas I got while reading something else - but as I wrote them, they didn't feel mine (or actually His) enough.

So here I am - empty.  But owing.

So what are we supposed to do when we don't have it in US to move forward?  What happens when we've got no more of ourselves to give?

Well that is when we need to turn to God.  To ask Him to walk with us, and to help us when we are stumbling.

The Bible says this - "Be strong and courageous.  Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you.  He will not leave you or forsake you." - Deuteronomy 31:6

And we need to ask Jesus, who we know endured the savage brutality of the cross, to help us persevere.  "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him." - James 1:2

And finally, we must ask the Holy Spirit for His divine inspiration, for we KNOW He has inspired others.

The Bible says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16.

When we know we cannot go on by ourselves - we must recognize that God is the one who will carry us.

"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26
